GourMay Mary Valley Food Festival

GourMay Mary Valley is a month-long food festival celebrating the growers, producers, and culinary creators of the Mary Valley.

Throughout May, GourMay Mary Valley will feature a series of satellite events where visitors and locals alike can immerse themselves in a variety of experiences, including farm tours and open days, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, workshops, art exhibitions, film screenings, live performances, walking tours, and much more.

Mark your calendar for GourMay’s Festival Day, which will take place at the Imbil Town Square and Rail Park on Saturday, 25 May, from 8.30 am to 3 pm. Festival Day features food stalls, cooking demonstrations, farming presentations, and the annual GourMay cooking challenge.

the kilkivan great horse ride

Noosa Outrigger Canoe Club Inc. is set to host their South Queensland Zone Championships event at Rainbow Beach on Friday 10, to Sunday 12 May.

The Goomeri Pumpkin Festival has become well-known for its ‘Great Australian Pumpkin Roll,’ drawing in thousands of spectators across Australia to experience the excitement of rolling pumpkins down Policeman’s Hill.

Celebrating all things pumpkin, there are plenty of competitions to witness, food to indulge in and a street parade that is a must-see, creating a vibrant atmosphere throughout the day. Rally Gympie Region

Experience the adrenaline rush of Rally Gympie Region, a three-day celebration of rally racing hosted by Brisbane Sporting Car Club and Gympie Regional Council since 2021. In June, witness over 60 rally cars parade down Gympie’s Mary Street at Wheels on Mary, followed by Rally Village at Gympie Showgrounds. Explore trade shows, interact with teams, and witness thrilling races across 14 stages covering 200 kilometres. Don’t miss this high-speed spectacle! In its eighth year, Gympie Region Studio Trails 2024 showcases a considered collection of over 30 emerging and established artists from across the Gympie region. For each weekend in July, selected artists will open their studio doors and welcome you inside for a rare glimpse behind the scenes. View artists’ works, discover their creative process, join a workshop or demonstration, and uncover a new world of creative inspiration and possibility.

Rainbow beach fishing classic & expo

Every August, The Amamoor State Forest becomes the home of one of Australia’s most iconic music festivals, The Gympie Music Muster.
